A pre-trip rehearsal for Italy

Arrive in Italy ready. Not like a tourist.

14 days · 10 minutes a day · voice role-play

Practise ten real Italian moments out loud with friendly characters, and learn the unwritten rules nobody puts in the guidebook.

How it works

  1. Tell us when you fly

Pick your departure date. We build a 14-day plan around it, with the arrival essentials first.

  2. One scene a day

Ten minutes of voice role-play: order, ask, pay. Out loud, with a patient Italian who stays in character.

  3. Fill the Moka

Every scene pours more coffee into the pot. When it's full, you're ready to land.

Step into a scene

Here's the start of the first one, at the bar. This is a silent preview: the real thing talks.

Ten moments, ten voices

Every scene has its own character and a real goal. Nobody grades you. They just answer.

  • At the barOrder, counter or table, pay.
  • At the restaurantBook, order, allergies, the bill.
  • At the stationTickets, platforms, the inspector.
  • At the pharmacyDescribe a simple symptom.
  • Hotel check-inBooking, documents, breakfast.
  • At the marketPrices, amounts, a friendly haggle.
  • Asking directionsUnderstand the simple answers.
  • In a taxiDestination, price, paying.
  • EmergenciesAsk for help, say what you lost.
  • Chat with your hostIntroduce yourself, get tips, say thanks.

The rules nobody tells tourists

Short cards, in plain English, with the Moka keeping an eyebrow raised.

  • The coperto

That small line on the bill is a per-person cover charge. It's normal, and it's printed on the menu.

The Moka says: Yes, it's legal. No, you can't haggle with the bread.

  • Cappuccino after lunch

Italians keep milky coffee for the morning. After a meal, it's an espresso.

The Moka says: Order one at 4 pm and the barista will smile. Very politely.

  • Validate your train ticket

Some paper tickets must be stamped in a little machine before you board, or the fine is very real.

The Moka says: The machine isn't decoration. Many tourists learn this in front of an inspector.

Your passport fills up

Every finished scene earns an inked stamp. Share your passport when you're done.

Good questions

Is this a language course?

No. It's a rehearsal. You won't study grammar. You'll practise the ten situations tourists really face, out loud, and learn the etiquette that goes with them.

Do I need to know any Italian?

Not a word. Starting from zero is fine. You choose how much help you see on screen and how slowly the characters speak.

Does it work on my phone?

Yes, it's built phone-first, with big buttons and your microphone doing the rest. It runs in your browser, so there's nothing to install.

When can I start?

Very soon. Join the waitlist and you'll be first in, with a founders' discount. Plan for about two weeks before you fly; a shorter runway just means a tighter plan.
